WiFi Scanner is a free and simple tool that turns your Android phone into a powerful WiFi analyzer.
The app scans WiFi networks around you and present you with detailed information about the discovered access points using its clear and simple user interface.
The app is designed to give you a clear view of the WiFi signal coverage at your home or office. App also lets you save the scan results as a CSV file to your Android device or share it via email, bluetooth, WiFi direct etc. for easily analysing the results later.
Use this app to find out areas with poor coverage and redesign your network to mitigate any coverage issues.
Feature list:
- Scans and present you with a list of WiFi networks around you.
- Displays information about your connected network including SSID, BSSID, IP address, signal strength, link speed.
- Detailed information about discovered networks including SSID, BSSID, signal strength, channel, frequency, security type, whether Adhoc or infrastructure mode.
- Both periodic and single shot scanning options.
- Enable automatic scanning with configurable scan interval.
- Automatically enable WiFi, if disabled, when the app is launched.
- Save the detailed scan results as a CSV file to your device.
- Send the scan results as a CSV file via email, Bluetooth, WiFi Direct, Google Drive, Dropbox.
- Option to disable WiFi and exit the app from the menu.
- Option to scan and display networks only from 2.4GHz or 5GHz band.
