About X42 (Demo) Android App

It’s true that every country has corruption, and it is also true that in every country corruption is slightly different.

We want to address one specific type of corruption - the one in media. The problem is that politicians either own media companies, or they bribe them in order to spread false or distorted information. We know that they shape and manipulate the public opinion as they like with television and their news websites.

That’s why we want to create X42 - a platform for video comments that will allow anyone to express their opinions on important political, social or economic issues. Whenever you have something to say about an important social topic, you open the app, click record and make a 42 second video, (that’s why it’s called X42). The most liked videos on that topic appear on the top and the most active and respected users receive the badges of a ‘trusted opinion leader’.

An important feature provided is that you can ‘agree’ or ‘disagree’ with a topic and then record the video. This will allow for a diversity of opinions with arguments from both sides on any topic

Through this project, we want to empower the citizen journalism as a more trusted source of information and allow more people to be heard.

We don’t have all the answers, so please join us and help us solve this challenge.
