This app lets the user choose an airplane model (42 planes in v2.5) and then insert the weights of the passengers, luggage and fuel. The app will then compute the center of gravity deviation from default center of gravity (empty weight center of gravity). The user can then insert the results into X-Plane's Weight & Balance page. The app also employs a fuel estimation module based on manufacturer published cruise speed and fuel consumption.
The app first computes the default center of gravity based on known wheel loads. The load points of the passengers, the luggage and the fuel were measured from scaled plans of the real planes and real life manuals. Knowing the weights on the load points, their position and taking the default center of gravity as datum, the app computes the longitudinal center of gravity deviation so the user can insert the result directly in X-Plane.
The Cessna C208B Caravan has a dual luggage setup, with and without a cargo pod. This is also customizable in the app with the use of a radio button.
The airplane profiles are mainly GA aircraft inspired by the products published by Carenado and Alabeo (Pilatus PC-12 included). The BAe Jetstream 32 is also included.
