What do you do when your phone is snatched out of your hands, stolen off your desk, or from your bag or from your car ? There is a good chance you will never see your phone again. All your personal and sensitive information, your priceless photos and any other important stuff you keep on your phone will be in the hands of someone who might use it for malicious purposes.

XSentry (which will usually run in the background) will detect any sudden movement of the phone, like a grab or a snatch, and will either sound an alarm and/or send a text (SMS) message containing location (GPS) info and street address if available, to a designated mobile phone of your choice.

These messages will continue to be sent (at an interval of your choice) providing a trail to the location of your phone. You can then use this information to inform the authorities and hopefully track down your phone. The movement detection sensitivity can be finely tuned for different scenarios like the phone being lifted off your desk or grabbed/snatched from your hands, bag/satchel, car etc.

XSentry can also be configured to take a picture of the person using the front camera when they make the app visible (i.e. bring it to the foreground) which then sends this image to an email address of your choice. This feature requires access to your GMail account on your phone.

Another feature called 'Stealth Location and Alarm Probe' will allow you to remotely set off the alarm on the phone by sending it an SMS with a secret word in the message or retrieving its location by using another secret word.
