“Yanesha-English Primer” is the app version of the book “PAMOTHER KELLEK - Yanesha-English Primer” is part of the“My Indigenous Roots” project, developed by me Angelo Giammarresi, director, writer and visual ethnographer with the aim of preserving the ancestral oral traditions of the indigenous peoples of Peru and the world.
The texts were compiled in collaboration with by Dario Lavan López Cruz, Augusto López Santiago and recorded with the Yanesha voice of Galindo Ampicha Ramos who live in the Selva Central of Peru, are leaders of their communities and recognised bilingual teachers of the Yanesha ethnic group.

The most interesting thing about this “Yanesha-English Primer” lies in its interactive and multimedia features. By touching the pictures or the title of the page, you can hear the words pronounced in Yanesha and English, which facilitates teaching in the classroom and gives even a child the opportunity to learn the Yanesha language independently.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Once the application is installed, the splash screen will appear from which you can go directly to the interactive book index with a simple tap. At the bottom of the pages there are two text buttons to go to the previous or next chapter. From the menu you can go back to the very beginning or to the table of contents. Pages can contain a single audio file for the whole page or audio for each individual image. One click starts the speech, another click stops the audio.
NOTE: After starting an audio clip if you click on the same image, the audio stops and a second click restarts it from the beginning automatically.

IMPORTANT: I would like to point out that this app DOES NOT USE sensors or even geolocation programs.
This application is independent of any of our other titles and works in its entirety without special permissions or links to external resources.

This application is just a book with written text and audio clips in Yanesha and English.

This app is made by my solo company World On Communications.
