About Ypres Salient From The Ashes Android App
When the weapons fell silent at the end of 1918, Ypres still existed, but just on paper. There was scarcely a house still standing. No one lived in the town anymore.
With this app, you'll discover how Ypres quickly came back to life and rose like a phoenix from its ashes. It allows you to walk through the devastated and the rebuilt parts of the town. En route you'll discover the fascinating stories that were played out behind the magnificent façades between the Colaertplein and the Grand'Place.
