The playback functions in the audio guide have been extended, the augmented reality contents have been adapted and a new audio guide for the exhibition »Art in Motion« has been added. In addition, the menu structure, navigation and graphic design of the app have been improved.
About zkm_experience Android App
Whether you know the ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe for years, or you visit us for the first time: this app lets you become part of the experience_zkm!
Many roads lead to Rome and just as many ways »to the zkm«: »follow the code« – follow the virtual zeros and ones and be comfortably guided to us or become an art hunter in the urban space of Karlsruhe with a digital treasure hunt!
You are »at the zkm« and want to know more about us – maybe even things, which can not be found that easily? The footprints indicate markers on the forecourt and foyer where hidden facts can be experienced with augmented reality! Keep your eyes open while you're wandering around the ZKM: Posters were distributed in the foyer, hiding milestones in the fields of technology and digitization. With the function »living letters«, you can reveal their content!
Our digital »guides« will lead you through our current exhibitions and give you more content – just to listen to – or to explore much more deeply. Of course, you will also find all the important information about your visit within the app. You would like to see Peter Weibel as hologram video? This is also possible!

»living letters«: let posters come to life with augmented reality – and find out more about the milestones on the topics technology and digitization behind the questions and statements!
Free »guides« to current exhibitions: you will find further and more detailed information about the exhibition’s contents in the marked places – comfortable to listen to via audio guide! Currently, guides to the exhibitions »Open Codes« and »Art in Motion« are available.
Within the sections »feed your brain« and »holo-deck«, you can explore various facts about the ZKM playfully and interactively.
