If you'll not do that, and bank account on which you'll make a transfer will not be present whitelist, you will bear the risk of shared responsibility together with your counterparty for his tax arrears!
The "Whitelist of VAT Taxpayers" app exists to make this process as easy as possible. Take a photo or dictate any counterparty number - NIP REGON or bank account to check directly in the Ministry of Finance database if your counterparty is an active VAT taxpayer.
With small help of the Whitelist of VAT Taxpayers, few seconds is enough to avoid invitation for talks to tax office...
